family law Collections

Enforcement

When you get an order from a Family Law Judge for property division, child support, spousal support or attorney’s fees, and the other party is not paying, or refuses to pay, you now are stuck with the task of collecting the money from the other party.

There are remedies now available to you as a creditor, that you can use to enforce the Judge’s order.

Our firm can be retained to do a bank levy to take the court ordered amount out of the other party’s bank account. Also, our firm can initiate wage garnishment such as for spousal support or child support so that your spouse’s employer or other parent’s employer pays you directly what the Judge ordered. Also, our firm can assist in recording a liens against the other party’s real property to enforce the Judge’s order. There are special rules related to family law orders that our firm navigates for you so that you get paid on your family law judgment or order.

If you would like to discuss the specific unpaid judgment or order that you have, and the options available to you based on the facts of your case, please set up a consultation.
